Carved African Hardwood Door

This was a wonderful project. Two of our favorite customers, Jan and Karen, called to commission a carved door piece for them. The subject started out strap leaves and ended with trillium and deer fern, vine maple and dicentra (bleeding heart flowers) in Afromosia, an awesome African hardwood. It takes detail amazingly well and was a real joy to work with.

Thanks ladies! We were honored to create this piece for you.

Willie Green's Organic Farm

Mmmmmmm! Jeff grows THE best veggies and greens. Willie Green's Organic Farm is located in Monroe on the Tualco Road. This was one of the funnest signs we ever created. We were originally going to paint the reclaimed barn wood which forms the backdrop for the signs, but Jeff saw the portfolio and said that just wouldn't do. The "lettuce" platter shape and the specific varieties of veggies were fun to do. There are two signs, one on each side of the barn wood, and the supports are "cornstalks" complete with carved wood "ears" of corn and tassels made of couch springs!! 105 pieces were required for this project. What a blast. If you are looking for truly wonderful organic greens, you need to visit Jeff Miller and Kathy.

Camano Island Inn

Years ago we created the logo and signs for the Camano Island Inn, an awesome place to get away to. Jon and Kari sold the Inn to Larry and Stephanie Fike this past December. We've stayed several times and absolutely loved the pampering. We relaxed completely and very much enjoyed the peace & quiet as well as the incredible food. Do yourself a great favor next time you want to run away for the weekend - go to the Inn. If you've not visited Camano Island, you're missing a wonderful corner of Washington.

Thanks Larry and Stephanie. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Earthwalk Northwest

Another great business we've carved for is Earthwalk Northwest, a primitive living skills school in Issaquah, Washington. Interested in learning how to survive in the woods? Go see Frank and Karen and tell them Rue sent you!

Coconut Kenny's

Coconut Kenny's is a great pizza place with two stores, one in Bellingham, one in Sedro Woolley, Washington.

While it's great to have a photo of the finished sign for the portfolio, it's even better when we can get a photo of the sign installed.

Thanks so much for the permission, guys! Have a wonderfully prosperous year!

Wellbeing Center for Health

There's a great place in our great little town of Monroe, Washington for healing, for learning, for personal growth and for empowerment.

It's called the Wellbeing Center for Health and everyone there is awesome. We had a great time carving the entry sign as well as the menu signs indicating services offered.

Thanks so much for the permission to use your photo Karen.

Peace to you all.
